About Us

The Refind Room opened in 2012 with a simple idea: exceptional furniture and home décor deserve to be appreciated, thoughtfully presented, and given a new life.

From the beginning, we set out to create something different from a traditional consignment store. We wanted to offer a welcoming, design-forward space where customers could discover beautiful, high quality furniture, original art, and distinctive pieces for the home—and where consignors could trust that their estate would be handled with care, expertise, and respect.

Over the years, The Refind Room became a trusted St. Louis destination for designer consignment furniture, art, lighting, accessories, and home décor. Our constantly changing inventory includes pieces from manufacturers like Baker Furniture, Century Furniture, Swaim, Roche Bobois, Maitland-Smith, Lee Industries, Arhaus, Restoration Hardware, and many others.

As our clients’ needs grew, so did our business.

We increasingly found ourselves helping individuals and families navigate more complex transitions: downsizing a home, settling an estate, evaluating collections, and determining the best way to sell furniture, art, jewelry, and other valuable personal property.

That work led us to develop comprehensive Estate Transition Services, combining personal property evaluations, appraisals, consignment, estate sales, online sales, auctions, moving coordination, and complete estate liquidation management. Because we can use several different selling methods, we are able to recommend the right path for each item rather than forcing an entire estate into a single solution.

In 2024, we expanded again with the opening of Woodard Lipe Fine Art & Auction. Woodard Lipe brought together our growing expertise in original art, iconic modern design, specialty collections, jewelry, and nationally marketed auctions.

Today, The Refind Room and Woodard Lipe Fine Art & Auction have come together in the historic Brentwood Theater building at 2525 S. Brentwood Boulevard.

Under one roof, visitors can now explore nearly 10,000 square feet of consignment furniture, designer furnishings, original art, antiques, modern design, collectibles, and one-of-a-kind discoveries. Clients who are selling can access consignment, fine art and specialty auctions, estate sales, appraisals, and complete estate transition guidance through one trusted team.

What began as a furniture consignment store has grown into something much broader: a destination for people who value exceptional pieces, thoughtful design, and knowledgeable guidance.

Whether you are furnishing a home, selling a treasured collection, downsizing, or settling an estate, our goal remains the same—to make the experience thoughtful, professional, and as easy as possible.
